WORLD WAR I
 
The Great War or War to End All Wars lasted 4 years.  Over 15 countries fought in this war.  Click on the links below to learn about the Central Powers vs. the Allied Forces.  You will also be introduced to the new method of warfare used in WWI.  There is a fun song at the end to help you remember some of the important facts about this war.






 
Re-enactment of a depression hobo camp.  We used newspaper as blankets, stood in a bread line and tried to make a living selling apples.

Poverty and despair marked the first years of the Great Depression. The slump that started in 1929 was the worst in the nation's history.

PRESIDENT THEODORE ROOSEVELT

At the turn of the century, America welcomed a new leader after the tragic assassination of President McKinley.  Known as a war hero, outdoorsman, and adventurer, Theodore Roosevelt would step into his new role as president of the U.S. in 1901.  Read the following article to learn more about this dynamic president.
