Poverty and despair marked the first years of the Great Depression. The slump that started in 1929 was the worst in the nation's history.

3) Research and write some interesting facts about either famous poetry, music such as Bing Crosby, or Fireside Chats with Franklin Roosevelt during the 1930's.
